The Championship golf course at Ballykisteen Hotel and Golf Resort is a superb 18 hole, 71 par, Des Smyth designed golf course.

Set in tree-sculptured surroundings against a backdrop of the Galtee Mountains, Ballykisteen Golf Course is constructed to the highest of standards distinguished by the superb quality of the putting surfaces.

Designer Des Smyth puts forward the 15th as one of the signature holes at Ballykisteen "probably the most difficult in the country; 230 yards from the back elevated tee to a green surrounded by water on three sides and out of bounds on the left, nothing but a perfect golf shot will do".

The Pro Shop in Ballykisteen Golf Club is run by PGA qualified and Ladies European Tour player Marian Riordan, who is available for exceptional golf tuition. There are excellent practice facilities available at the club as well as an under cover driving range.
