It has to challenge golfers of all abilities and I think that is exactly what we achieved. The O'Meara course is a classic parkland experience which meanders through acres of glorious pastures, ancient woodland and skirts the banks of the River Rye. Located just 14 miles west of Dublin City Centre and 30 minutes from Dublin Airport, Carton House is a unique escape from the fast paced life of the city.

Carton House was named European Golf Resort of the Year in 2008, the O'Meara course played host to the 2005 Irish Amateur Championship, and continuing to be recognised as a top golf course, Carton House is due to host the GUI National Finals from 2014 to 2017.

This special club has attracted golfers from across Ireland and throughout the world. From Dublin:
Take the main N4 motorway westbound. From the motorway, take the "Leixlip West" exit (Junction 6) and follow the signs to Carton House Hotel. Carton House Hotel is approximately a five minute drive from the N4 motorway exit.

From the west:
Take the N4 motorway to Dublin and approximately 20km from Dublin city, take the "Leixlip west" exit (Junction 6) and follow the signs to Carton House.Carton House is approximately a five minute drive from the N4 motoroway exit.
