The Heritage Golf Resort - Ballesteros Course
[Co. Laois]
In acknowledging Seve's past golf achievements, the management at The Heritage have dedicated the golf course to his memory and it's now called 'The Ballesteros Course'.
In conjunction with the golf course's co-designer (Jeff Howes of Jeff Howes Golf Design), the club felt it important to remember Seve's involvement in the design process and in staging the Seve Trophy 2007.
Set in the beautiful rolling countryside of Co. Laois, just one hour from Dublin, with the Slieve Bloom Mountains as a backdrop. This championship golf course offers a most enjoyable experience for golfers of all standards.
Five lakes and a stream meander through the course, bringing water into play on 10 holes. 98 beautifully-shaped bunkers and 7,000 trees adorn the landscape, which is very gently undulating without any climbing involved. A variety of tees allow the course to be played from 5,747 to 7,319 yards.
The Spike Bar overlooks the 9th and 18th greens and is an ideal stop–off point after the adventures on the golf course. Visit Greens Restaurant, where prime Irish beef is the specialty or try the wholesome Lounge Menu, guaranteed to satisfy your appetite.
The fully-stocked Pro Shop is located in the Clubhouse on the first floor. With leading brands such as Polo, Ralph Lauren, Adidas, Taylor Made, Ping, Lyle & Scott, Titleist, Footjoy and many more on offer, it's the perfect place for you to find a souvenir to remind you of your trip to The Heritage.
